Our boy is home!!!!

Cannon got home Tuesday, October 20 ! What a great sight to see him for the first time after two years at the top of the escalator! Abbey, Ian, Dane and Sam were so excited to see Uncle Cannon!

It's been a while....

If you notice... It has been a whole year since I blogged! And what a year it was! ....moving back, new teaching position, buying parents' home, bull-dozing yard, gutting inside, good-bye to Lizsi, and most important.... GROWING ADORABLE GRANDKIDS!

They are my pride and joy!

So if you notice..... It has been a whole year since I blogged! Time to update the exciting life of SLC-SHERRIE! And what a year it's been! Moving back, new teaching position, buying parents' house, bull-dozing yard, gutting inside, good-bye Lizsi..... Most important...... Growing Grand Kids!

I'm So outa Cal Sherrie

I'm loved so much here that they named a street after me. But, alas, I still must return to my roots in Utah. This is my last week here and it will be spent, not relaxing on the beach.... but packing boxes to move! Sorry to those who never made it out to visit us during our short stint here in paradise!

Are we there yet?

Lizsi rode most of the 11 hours back to San Diego just like this, with her head resting on Taylor's seat. She would have been way more comfortable curling up on her bed , but she's just a dumb dog.

Road Trip!

Anyone want to take a road trip to California????? It will probably cost more than flying!!!

Fun Southern Style!

I spent a fun few days in Atlanta Georgia visiting Judy and David and kids! Here we are canoeing down the Chatahoochee River! Judy, David and Jonah were one rowing team and Eliza, Abigail and I were the other. We had a heated race back to the dock at the end. The 'Eliza- Abigail-Sherrie' team WON fair and square! "GIRLS RULE" !!! We were lucky enough to observe some river wild life. Two Beavers were gnawing on sticks on the riverside. We were close enough to hear the squeak of their teeth on the wood. Our guide said we were very fortunate to have experienced that. It was a beautiful, peaceful setting and a great experience. We even ate cattails! (They taste a lot like cucumbers!)

Horsing Around!

My friend, Lori, that I knew from Memphis, lives in Mission Viejo just an hour north of here. She has horses!! So, after hinting all year that I would LOVE to come and help her exercise her horses.... we finally did it! Only, this horse, Jimmy, didn't want to go for a ride and ended up dumping Lori into a gully and ran all the way back to the stables. My horse tried to do the same, but, I managed to keep him (Shilo) put and I jumped off before I fell off! It ended up being a short ride, but fun and certainly an adventure.

Lobster Fest!

Bike Ridin' Wrays!

I thought Taylor was crazy when he gave me a road bike for my 50th Birthday! But, we have really enjoyed our Saturday, 16 mile bike rides. (We haven't even tipped over for a long time!)

Thank you Taylor for teaching me that we don't have to be "old" in our 50's!!

Fun day at Thanksgiving Point!

Dane and Ian and I had a blast at the farm and the dinosaur museum before I had to go back to San Diego. Ian didn't like the 'real' animals. Dane was so captivated by the 3-D dinosaur movie that he fell asleep! When asked what his favorite part of the day was, Dane said, "Getting a sucker at the Candy Factory!"

Not fun!

No sooner did Whitney and Dustin leave for Thiland but Ian gets sick and gets put in the hospital with pnemonia! He and I spent 2 nights in the hospital. Poor baby.

Ian Turns ONE!!

Whitney and Dustin's "Busy Little Bee" turned ONE on May 2! He knew the routine.... grab cake..shove in mouth.... look cute! Whitney put together a super fun birthday party complete with beehive pinata!

We're still here! It's been the 8 month vacation that never seems to end! Come see us! We would welcome you!!

Taylor and I just celebrated 30 years of Marriage!! We had a 2 day get away to Catalina Island!

Adam and Haylee found lots to do on their recent visit. They were nice to let us hang out with them sometimes!!!
